Any MNers in Brunei?

Am moving there in a few months with DH and DS(2) and DD(7months, by then). It's a bit off the radar webwise, hard to find info! I suppose that's logical given it's such a small place.

We're looking forward to the adventure. Smile

If there are any MNers who could help or give advice, would be much appreciated!

Grin you could very well be! am almost certain there was someone there a while back that was positive about it! Did you do a quick search?
What sort of thing do you want to know? I know Malaysia/muslim customs if you want "cultural" advice but no specifics am afraid!
fatowl is the Kuala Lumpur tsarina, or are you in BKK now?

was there 21 years ago, youngest DD was born there. We lived in Kuala Belait for 6 years and the kids went to the shell school there. A perfect place for young families, the locals are very gentle people. yes it is dry (alcohol wise) but you can take it in with you and there are ways and means of getting some! A great expat community and we made longlasting friends. food wise lots of stuff flown in from Australia to the local supermarket a tad expensive but we managed. Ideal place to bring up a young family. Hope this helps.
