We just bought a house in Costa Blanca and would like to meet people with children, our boys are 1 and 3, and get information about schools, things to do, restaurants and so on!

Will be my third hol in torrevieja area. We love the area, and it's ideal for the kids, as they are all still quite young. I'd love to be able to live there, very of you!

how did you do it?

emjhill · 14/12/2006 21:41

well the first time we just upped and left and rented a bar and moved!!!!

my self and DH went back to the uk to have our first child and left my mum and dad here (they moved with us) and then came back in may coz we missed it so much and were fed up with the way england is now and with dh work he never saw us!!

i really would reccommend it pick up a cheap long term rental and work is pretty easy to find and youd be well away!!!!

and the schools are brilliant here!!!

never thought of renting a place, though considered saving up to buy. We've talked about it lots, but supporting four kids means we would have to bring in such a high income we jsut didn't really think it would be possible.

emjhill · 14/12/2006 21:48

the cost of living here is cheaper so you dont need ot bring as much in as you would do there.

there are 4 of us and one on the way and we live on about ?1000 amonth which covers rent school fees everything. so you wouldnt need a whole lot.

is what you and your other half do for work anything you could do over here? or is there anything you could start up over here?

dp is in web design, and has no spanish so would struggle to get a job here, but he is on the lookout for spain transfers, but we really would prefer to go to the torrevieja area somewhere. I'm a law student, btu do have a lot of catering experience and I think I could do a restaurant.

I jsut love the warm weather, the kids so healthy, active and glowing and in and out of the water all the time. The laid back lifestyle, being able to take the kids everywhere with us. when we got back last time poor dd asked if we had any spanish water left, because her hair and skin got so soft out there!

I cant wait to go back to gudalest and algar falls. There really is some breathtaking scenery around those parts.
