Jakarta - intel needed

My Dsis is considering moving here from 2 years in Malaysia (KL) and would appreciate any insights on what its like - she has two children 11 & 8, they are very outdorsy. Dsis and DH will be working - whats the expat community like? Any pluses / negatives to Jakarta?

I've never lived there, but DH works there a lot.
I am also in KL

The expat community is smaller and more tight knot than in KL
Traffic is terrible- be careful about where you live to minimize the commute- be prepared to "live" in your car a bit- I know families who are set up to do homework/admin in their cars.
It is "harder" than KL as a posting goes, but the cost of living is lower than KL. British school has a good rep.
