Anyone in geneva can help?

I'm trying to plan a holiday for extended family next year which might need an overnight stop in geneva.
We'd be arriving by train, and leaving to go up into alps by transfer bus the next day.
I've read that the hotels near the station are also near the red light district which we'd want to avoid.

Does anyone who has geneva knowledge have any suggestion for any hotels /areas to find a hotel that would have a mix of rooms for families and couples for not too much money?
TIA

Try looking on Trivago for the dates you need?

What are your dates?
What's your budget?
What type of rooms do you need and how many of each?
Where is your bus leaving from?

(Used to live in Geneva and worked in a job where I had to organise a lot of meetings and do hotel bookings for the delegates, I'm happy to have a look online for you)
