Just that really.

I am thinking about starting a group for anglophone parents near me...

We live rurally in France and DS has school friends and we do meet up a little bit, but I would like to meet other english speaking families as well. (Sometimes it is easier to speak in your own language, even though my French is pretty good.) Also 4yo DS seems to come on in leaps and bounds when we have had trips back to the UK and played with other english speaking children.
(He was born here, but only speak a bit of french, so far. He is at Maternelle / pre-school)

Yes, a coffee group for expats in my area, also a facebook page. It's surprising how many people find you through meetup and fb!

There are quite a few FB pages and they are good for chatting online as everyone seems quite dispersed throughout france. However have already had my first reply to an event on Meetup, so I am hopeful!

Go for it! These groups saved my sanity!
