Short term family house rentals in Melbourne

We are travelling to Melbourne in the new year and our children will be enrolled in a school for a term. We have searched 'stayz' but can't seem to find any other sites that would offer short term rentals in houses in family type neighbourhoods.
Can anyone suggest a site? I'm sure there must be more than one. There's plenty of serviced apartments on tripadvisor but these tend to be in the city we were hoping to be slightly more immersed in the community....

Any help gratefully received!
Thankyou!!

Quest have some serviced apartments in the suburbs. There are some in Bayside (Brighton and Cheltenham which are lovely areas). Also Hawthorn, St Kilda, South Melbourne which are good. Think there are also some in Williamstown which is a bit further out.

Short term rentals are like unicorn horns Hmm. The Quest places are ok though, expensive but ok.

Try the local estate agents or real estate.com as they have holiday lets. We had a holiday let for 2 months initially. It was off season tho so that may affect when you can have a long let.

Also I guessing they are down for school now so look for an agent in the same area and ask for a holiday let.

Where do you want to be? I have a friend in St Kilda who does short term lets of her house.

Thanks! I think we want to be around Sandringham/ Brighton... Down maybe as far as Frankston? There are lots of apartments available in St Kilda, and also a lot on the Southbank(?)/ CBD but I'd prefer to be based near a good school and where the kids can play outside with their friends.
I will google for your suggestions- thankyou!! Smile
