Moving to Amsterdam

We are relocating to Amsterdam in October 2014 (for my husband's job) by which time I will be 5 months pregnant with our first baby. I know no one in Amsterdam and am anxious about having a baby away from home. I would love to meet other mums and mums-to-be. If anyone is in a similar situation it would be great to hear from you.
Also I would really appreciate any recommendations for midwives, ante-natal classes, pregnancy yoga or any other useful tips you could provide! Thank you.

Congratulations!

Amsterdam is a great place to have and bring up a child, I speak from experience.

Google (sorry, can, t link) IAmsterdam for living info and Amsterdam mamas which is for expat mums.

Feel free to PM me if you want.

Oh, and the midwife will be dependant on where you live, you can get a list from the GP (huisarts in Dutch) when you register.
