I have searched and searched for a good area, school and home for my family and finally decided on Kent, but where do i start looking???

We are from South Africa and need to find "something" by September as my kids need to start school. We do not need to commute to London everyday as we both work from home. I googled Folkstone area and Maidstone so far, but not too sure. We like the countryside/seaside.
Any advice out there?

Kent is a good pick as it has an abundance of good schools. My nephews go to a very good one: Skinners in Royal Tunbridge Wells which is a nice but pricey area to live in. We like to visit grandparents in Folkestone but would not want to live there, there is no M&S!

Hi op have you had a look at Canterbury? , it is a student town but I think the schools are good , it is a short car drive from the beach , you can reach London easily by train...
