Living in the US?

DH is a financial advisor and I'm a SAHM. We have been thinking about moving to the US.... We have a lot of equity in our house but wondering whether it would be pretty much impossible to get a green card?

You could probably ask more over on www.britishexpats.com they have a lot of experience of getting green cards.
Surely being a financial advisor there would be very different to the UK

Probably not impossible to get a green card if you want to stay in the USA very long term. We have been here for a year on working visas (L1/2) for a year now and are going through the process, it takes months. Mostly because dh won't be tied to one company and he kids and I don't have to leave the country if (God forbid) anything happens to him.

You'll need a visa and a job first...... Where do you want to live and why the USA?

You generally need a job and visa already and preferably sponsorship by a company you work for.

We're goin through the process (currently on H1-B/H4 visas) and DH work is organising and paying for them for all of us. We're 9months into the process and prob 2-3months away from getting them
