Child free day in Melbourne!

Hurray, I live in the arse end of nowhere ... but have managed to score a day in Melbourne without the children next week, what should I do? Like shopping (but limited budget), art, food and not being in the sticks... Recommendations?

Omg am totally jealous, I was in melbourne last week but had zero child free time.....I looked hopefully at the amazing shopping as I walked by but I am defo going to return someday!! My fav bits were Queen Victoria market and the melbourne museum. Have a great time!!

Southbank and the national gallery. Fed square and flinders lane. Chapel st. The botanic gardens.
