Luxembourg - Bertrange, Strassen, Mamer

We are just back from our look-see in Luxembourg and just wanted to know if anyone had any comments on the above areas to live. We saw only a few properties - as understand the market is pretty tight. I very much liked the first property in Bertrange. This would work perfectly as it is available in August which all going well is when we'd move but I'm reluctant about making a decision so quickly but we won't be able to go again before we move.

Bertrange is the nicest!

I missed this... I think all three are fine. I think I'd agree that Bertrange is the nicest, it has a compact little village whereas the other two are quite spread out and Strassen seems to go on forever. Bertrange and Strassen are probably more expensive, at least for buying.

We are in Mamer and love it, fantastic neighbours and all the facilities you need.

If you've found something you like in Bertrange I'd go for it!

I can't quite remember your situation - have you worked out stuff like kids' schooling and commuting to work? Was it you that had a place at the European school? All of those areas are perfect for the Mamer school.

We have lived in Strassen for about 11 years. We love it as it is close to Town and also very close to two large shopping centres Belle Etoile and Concorde.
There is also very good public transport links to Town but also to the other side of The City.
