Question for anyone living in Austria or Austrian themselves: are baby showers acceptable in Austria? Thinking of throwing a shower but first i want to make sure it is acceptable. Google won't tell me.

Not sure about Austria but a baby shower is definitely not the done thing in Germany (close to Austrian border). Bordering on bonkersly American.

I'm in Austria - I know an American woman here who had a baby shower, but have never heard of an Austrian having one.
