I would LOVE to know the answer to this too!

Does there need to be one? i didn't think this place was exclusive.

There was a decent website once called truemomconfessions but it turned into truuconfessions. Still annoyed about that actually.

sotiredtoday · 08/04/2014 13:16

Thanks gamerchick, I have looked at truuconfessions (as it is now called) and it does not seem to be exactly the same : its all about ' confess yourself' which can be interesting as well, but not really the hands-on, practical, fun, girls-talk-over-coffee that I had in mind !

Any other suggestions ??

Yeah I know THE was much better as it had an awesome forum. But she just used us for her book and then shut the place.

I used to hang out on www.diaperswappers.com/ the forums have so many more sections than all about diapers, the off topics would get heated and fun.
Many years ago I was on www.ivillage.com/forums/ can't remember why I stopped and also www.mothering.com/ if you are slightly leaning towards lentil weaving, or a little crunchy as they call it.

I'm yet to find anything that compares. Annoyingly

I think MN are missing a trick by not opening MN USA.

There is a US forum called Two Peas

www.twopeasinabucket.com

It is primarily a scrapbooking/crafting forum, but their general chat (NSBR chat - non-scrapbooking related) is very like MN- some very knowledgeable, funny ladies, and a great community. Some great debates and some threads that would be worthy of MN classics, one that really sticks in my mind was a poster whose "d"h had invited 15 members of his family for Thanksgiving without telling her until two days before, just as she had got off work for the first time after 15 days straight. Huge row ensued, ranging from "well they're coming, I've invited them", and her saying "well I'm not cooking", and him saying, "well, I'll cook, how hard can it be?" - she sat over the next few days and gave regular updates on how it was going. In ran to about 30 pages.

AmericasTorturedBrow · 11/04/2014 14:52

Off to check that one out!!

fukkigucci · 11/04/2014 14:55
