Dh's best friend and his family are moving to Melbourne, Oz. Wife and children have already gone and DH's bezzy mate is going next month. We want to get them a farewell gift but I really don't know what. Ideally something that will suit their new life in Oz. I was thinking something like a fancy picnic hamper but DH says it can't be too big as mate will have to take it out there with him (the rest of their stuff has already been shipped so missed the boat there).
Does anyone have any ideas what we can get that is thoughtful but will also be practical and that they will actually use? Was wondering if could buy something from a department store in Melbourne and get it delivered? Can people tell me decent stores in Melbourne along the lines of John Lewis or Selfridges?
