Childcare help needed in HOustone, USA

Circumstances have arisen recently which has meant we are going to need some short term childcare help for our 6 year old DD. I am not keen on picking someone off of the internet it being a poor way to make such a decision. I was hoping some of you helpful folks here might point me in the direction of either a good agency or an individual who they have used or know of.

I'm in houston and our school recommends Morningside Nannies. However, we found 2 brilliant babysitters through SitterCity.com. I did the background checks and chatted to referees nd theya re lovely ladies who take great care of our dds. I know other mums who have found great child care through care.com too.
