What do you think is the best place to live with children?

Have an 11, 8, 6, 5, 4 and a 4yo, with a possible baby on the way (but have had a series of miscarriages until we stopped crying- the baby is a bit of a wonderful accident- it's sadly unlikely that this will happen).

DH and I work in a company where we could essentially move around the world with. We work at home (although I prefer getting out of the house and doing my work at other local places) and the pregnancy (only 10wks and I have a history, so there might not be anything further than this) makes me wonder about moving somewhere else.

Background info:

5yo has SN. She is fine with changes and moving (or rather, reacts like most children would) but a country which has high standards of care for SN is necessary.

We earn good money and have recently inherited some more money.

We have moved countries before. DH from Denmark to the UK. DD1 and DS1 (and I) from the UK to Germany, and back.

Just wondered....would have to be in the EU, I think.

I am very happy in the French speaking part of Switzerland. Switzerland was voted the best place to raise children in some poll. Not EU though...

[http://www.unicef-irc.org/publications/pdf/rc11_eng.pdf This]] is worth looking at. I am not sure the weather in the Nordics would suit us but from what other people say about living in the Netherlands, if we had a choice, I would consider the Netherlands.

If you were to stay in Europe I would also say the Netherlands.
You may even benefit from the 30% ruling (tax)

How about Asia? Hong Kong probably tough as you will need a BIG budget to house a large family.
Still very doable in Singapore.
Both super safe and family friendly. Depends what kind of industry you are in?
Both tax effective and booming.
Provisions for SN are better in Hong Kong although school places (for all schools) are rare and few.
