Apparently the relies have bought the dds lots of toys etc for dh to bring back with him.... BUT dh has asked if there is anything I really really want - can't think of anything....

Can you help me think of things I might like from England?!?!

Did think about a perfume that I loved but not sure if he will be able to get it as I bought it in Ireland.

I'd go with Oxford Circus And a proper English pub. And lovely cheap boys clothes that don't have skulls and camouflage on them! Not an entirely practical list (nor useful - boys clothes no good to you!) I'm the same, when people ask me if I want them to send me anything, I can never think what!

The in laws always ask us for food related things, or nostalgic things. they are in the States.
So usually Branston ppiclke, salad cream, tea bags kind of things. And SIL requested some BBC DVDs last time.

Good question. Think I will ask my family to bring Seabrook crisps and Thorntons chocolates if and when they visit. Will try and think of other things I miss.

LoubieLou04 · 25/06/2006 11:28

Pengiun and club biscuits. Tim Tams are good but not the same.

i thought about green and blacks choc....

clothes I think are taken care of by MIL and SIL for the girls.

I did ask for nappies - pampers easy ups - nothing here comes close but he said there is no way he is bringing nappies back for me or nappy liners. I even offered to shop online and have them delivered to his mum's place.

I might go on line and look at marks and sparks and john lewis for anything I would like.

Thanks for that idea

Food is more dh's thing.

thanks for suggestions.

Eids - baby gap stuff. Get DP to grab some summer stuff in their sale for next season.

I've got mum to ship some stuff for me for my birthday, a few bits and bobs from Lakeland (tragic I know, but I couldn't resist the scented bathroom sink sprinkles) , also want the butter buds and the rosehip syrup. Choice also dictated by weight of course.

I also want the 5 a day (fruit & veg) reward chart for DD Five a day chart

& the multi colour dish set from urchin: Little snack dishes with dip well

And the make your own watch kit, and the reusable straws and the cow print cool bag and and and etc

G&B raisin and hazelnut chocolate is divine - my mum keeps sending me bars (and the milk chocolate one). Definitely worth bringing. I would second the DVDs of programmes that aren't broadcast here - we're working our way through the Green Wing at the moment. I also get magazines for the dbs - Magic Key, Tweenies - sort of thing you can get here (or at least not where we are).

Speaking of TV - do you know by any chance what happened to the last episode of ER??? It was advertised on TV and in the magazine and then they showed 24 instead...V frustrating!

What did you get in the end Eids?

eidsvold · 28/06/2006 04:50

told him not to bother getting me anything. Just enjoy the time he has with his family and especially his dad.

Will let you know what he decided to do!! He is a very good buyer for people.

He made it home this morning safe and sound and is now napping. Poor fella we had to drag him off to one of dd1's outpatient appts as soon as he got in.

Lots of pressies for the dds - grandma would not let him buy very much - she bought it all. Some lovely clothes from next in the sale - fifi and flowertot doll as well as the bee doll, tea set, huge bubble blower, hair ties, new pjs for both, a matching doll for dd2 ( already bought one for dd1). Dh bought dd1 a nice england football shirt with cool pants that say football player on them - so true at the moment.... anything that looks like it can be kicked and dribbled is. A lovely shirt for dd2.

ME - got the latest patricia cornwell book - big fan so that is cool, another book and a gorgeous sarong from Singapore that I can wear on the beach in summer.

Actually just sooo glaad to have him home - missed him so much.
