Canada?

Been here (in the north) for four months. Made some fantastic friends which I'm so happy about, as I was terrified I was going to be the odd one out. Big culture shock- I grew up in California but for 14yrs have been living in the UK. Just wanted some tips and advice?

Welcome to Canada! Where in the North are you? Glad you like it here :) I'm in Southern Ontario so not nearby unfortunately.

Cambridge Bay, Nunavut It's great and people are being lovely to me, but it's a bit of a culture shock. We stayed in southern Ontario with various friends- Toronto, Hamilton and Guelph Canada's just so big!

Oh wow! I live in Hamilton. ..now I bet that was a culture shock for you

My advice I suppose is to go out as much as possible before it gets cold as balls.

Welcome Legodragon I live out in Victoria BC, after California I can imagine it would be a shock!
