Customs re Death in Belgium

Does anyone know about this? An acquaintance has passed away and I would like to send his wife a card or flowers or something. What do the Belgians normally do?

I'm not sure you're still looking for advice ... but just in case you are ... I'm Belgian, I'm from the Flemish part of the country, but I think customs in the regarding deaths are very similar in the French region.
Generally people send cards to the bereaved family. We don't usually send flowers to the family, but if you send the flowers with a card, I am sure it will be appreciated.
