Children's books in German

We live in the UK but DH is German and speaks German to DS. Where can I buy discounted children's books in German online (or in London)? We currently buy at amazon but it costs a fortune. Is there a German version of Red House / The Book Depository? Thanks in advance!

You can buy books in German from Book Depository. Books are very expensive in Germany as they all seem to be in hardback format - no idea why this is.

maybe ebay.de?

Is it worth dropping an email to the Deutsche Schule in London and asking if they have book fairs?

Do you use Amazon.de or .co.uk to buy?

Have you tried your local library? I think our library has a foreign language section with a few kids' books.

Where are you? I don't think we have many books at the moment, but can have a look.

My son reads Biff und Chip from the Oxford reading tree in German, so they are about!

(can't believe I had to go through them all in the UK and now start all over again in German!)
