Where to advertise a foreign property for sale?

I've been asked to help DP's aunt, who's trying to sell her holiday home in a small town in Southern Italy (Basilicata, near Puglia) and hoping to find a foreign (English or American) buyer. She's asked me to write a small ad in English and put it out there...

I'm not sure where to start, has anybody got websites to recommend where I can see similar properties to get an idea of asking prices etc?
Thanks in advance!

Hi, not sure if this will be much help. We were also thinking of trying to sell our house in Italy though have decided to keep it now as the market is so awful.

I looked at Rightmove in their foreign section. This will give you an idea of prices etc though I found there seemed to be huge differences between houses that seemed quite similar on the website. The online Italy expat magazine (can't remember exact name but easy to find )also has a section where you can pay to advertise property, I can't remember how much but it wasn't a huge amount. Otherwise I would try and find an agent who deals specifically with foreign buyers. Luckily for you Puglia seems to be the place to go in Italy at the moment so it might be easier.

Hope this helps.
