Thing to do on my own with a toddler and a six week old baby in Abu Dhabi?

As my title says, I'm in Abu Dhabi at the moment, I've go another two weeks left and I've got cabin fever! Does anyone know of any breastfeeding friendly soft play areas or suitable play areas that I can take my 17 month old too as he needs a run around.

I would be on my own but could get a taxi to wherever I needed to. Toddler and baby are getting a bit too frazzled out in the day and I'm finding it hard to do feeds/going out, the baby always seems to end up crying and the toddler grumpy while I dash back to the apartment!

Thanks for any help or suggestions. :)

You could go to the playgroup at St Andrew's Church. It's on Mon, Wed & Thurs I think. Play time and finishes with singing. Google it to check details. Lots of families go to this one.

Where are you staying? There is a playgroup at Al Raha Gardens Plaza. If you are on Facebook you canf ind the group. This is off-island. It's not on next Monday due to half-term, but it is the following week. Nice group, lots of toys and also singing and craft session.

Baby crying - will think and come back

Thank you, I'm staying at the Corniche in the tourist club area. I'll look up those places tomorrow, thanks again. :)

I meant to get back to you. If you are in the Tourist Club area, then try the soft play at Marina Mall which is at the end of the Corniche. There are 2 play areas. I don't recommend the Play & Learn, but the one in the Fun City is good. Nice, clean and bright. Perfect for a toddler.

Most of the groups are run by AD Mums, but you need to join. That said, I think it is only 30dhs at the moment as membership year nearly over. Have a look at their website. Lots of groups each week. Play groups, pony club, bouncy castle session etc.

There is another soft play in the Marks & Spencer building, which isn't far from you. Taxi driver will know the building. Not great, but good for your toddler to run around.

It's also nice to walk along the Corniche whilst the weather is so nice. Can play on the beach and also grassy areas to sit.
