Brussels - Titres services

Just wanted to ask any MNers in Brussels / Belgium how the "titres services" for cleaners works please. Do you just go into a shop and ask to book a cleaner? Is there usually a minimum hours per week? What's a normal going-rate? Is there anything else I should know. I think it's tax deductable?

Thanks

First of all you register with Sodexho.

Then you contact an actual provider of cleaning services, an actual agency, asking for the number of hours per week and asking for them to provide you with a cleaner, or if you already have a cleaner in mind, that cleaner will help you with the contract you sign with him/her and their agency.

The amount you pay per hour is fixed, no more or no less. It's 7.50euro per hour and you shouldn't offer more and any cleaner asking for more you should avoid as you're helping them to commit fraud.

There is a minimum and maximum amount of cheques you can buy each year.

You sign a contract I think for a minimum of 2 hours a week, could be more.

It's tax deductible for Belgian tax payers only, you're limited to 2560 euro per year.

You'll get an overview from Sodexo at the end of the year that you use when filling in your tax form, then you get money back on the cheques you have bought.
