Family friendly towns in France?

Hi there, appreciate its a bit of a random question, but looking at possibility of living in france, loving their lifestyle/language etc, but have no idea yet as to where- looking for a family friendly, parks, nice community place in mid western- south western part of FRance- anyone been to any such places? thanks for reading

Well I live in the Dordogne in SW France.
If I had the choice I would probably live closer to Bordeaux; big city with more organised activities for families and only an hour from the atlantic coast

Unless either you and/or your dh/p are artisans, I would think that it would be much easier to find work nearer to Bordeaux.

I live in the Correze, and there isn't a lot of work here. Fortunately, dh has been able to take his pension early, but, otherwise we would have run out of money and had to go back to the uk.
