Hi
Looking to book up a couple of trips in the next few months. Thought we should take advantage of all the lovely places to go now we are in Singapore. Can anyone recommend a good kid friendly resort in langkawi and Phuket. Ds is 4 in October and dd is 16 months. Langkawi will be for dh's 40th with in-laws and phuket our first family break in ages.
Thanks

The JW Marriott in Phuket is the nicest child-friendly hotel I have ever stayed in. Good for a short break, lovely restaurants on sire and a big, windy beach (lovely after Spore!) but as it is on a nature reserve (close to airport, so handy) it is a bit of a trek for sightseeing.

They have 2-bed apartments which is quite handy with small children.

We have stayed here for the last 3 Xmas holidays. Amazing,

I second the Marriott - we had a great holiday there at Easter and the DCs are still asking when we can go back. Good restaurants with kids menus, plenty of space, lovely beach (and I say that as an Australian, and we're pretty fussy about beaches!), several pools including one with waterslide, fountains etc for water play. We didn't leave the resort (not our usual style, but so much easier with 3 under 5 to just stay put!) but Expat Wife is right - it's very far from the sights and nightlife. Check the timing of your trip, too, as it might be off season (waves/weather become a problem). When we went in April it was coming up to the end of season, but I'm not sure when the off season ends.
I've never been to LeMeridien. Looks amazing. Friends of ours have also had great family holidays at the resorts on Bintan.
