Maybe there's one already, but I just wondered if anyone is interested? Get together once a month, take it in turns to choose a book, discuss over a glass of wine or two...

Let me know. Am very happy to organise.

I'm interested always wanted to join one. X

Merlion · 29/07/2012 13:49

I'd love to join too. Do have friends who are part if groups but have never got round to it or dc too little to give me chance to pick up a book!

Merlion · 29/07/2012 13:50

Of that should say!

pupsiecola · 30/07/2012 01:54

So I'm happy to recommend the first book. Has anyone read Room by Emma Donoghue? I read it last year as part of the book club I joined. I never used to read much, but joining a book club and getting a Kindle changed that and I love it. It's good to read other people's recommendations too!

I suggest we meet on Monday, 3rd September. Are Mondays generally good because we could do the first Monday of the month then it's easy to remember.

Let me know if you've read the book though as I will change it. It's very good and a fast read.

Karen xx

PS pm me email addresses and I'll set up an email group.

I won't be there until October so I'll be a late joiner, but I would love to come along later in the year. I'll pm you now so you can put me on your list!

Love to join, count me in. Read 'Room'. Currently reading The Go-Between. Not read 50 Sheds of Grey (yet).

pupsiecola · 31/07/2012 02:34

Seeing as some ppl have read Room how about The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafon...

Merlion · 31/07/2012 02:47

Have read it but it was a long time ago and I loved it so no issues re-reading if it has the majority vote.

Kingyfam · 31/07/2012 04:20

I've never read it and think I might have on my book shelf. 3rd sept good for me.

ClareDiana · 31/07/2012 09:10

I'd also love to join! I'll be away on that date in September but around in October. Looking forward to it

kday · 31/07/2012 15:07

I'm keen, too! I've read Room but not Shadow of the Wind. Are you thinking an evening meet up? I'm happy to do that but generally can't get out of the house til 7.30-8 by the time I get baby DS to settle... Can always catch you up if you planned an earlier start?

londonmoo · 31/07/2012 22:02

Yes please to all that, how exciting, not even there yet and inking my first date! Will buy book at airport :)

Merlion · 01/08/2012 04:07

Would need to be 8ish for me too once the dc are in bed.

Kingyfam · 01/08/2012 07:23

I've just started reading a book called sister which seems good if interested in reading this.

pupsiecola · 01/08/2012 09:09

Shadow of the Wind it is then. Shall we push the date back? Clare - can you do any other day that week? Or the following Monday? 8 to 8.30 suits me fine if it works for everyone else. Send me your email addresses...
