moving back to the UK

Hi,

We are thinking of a move back to the UK. (hello to anyone I know reading this!)

I am debating whether to put DS (who will be 4 in August) into full time nursery when we arrive rather than school. We will arrive September-ish time but probably not before the start of the school year.

We could then take our time and choose the right school and make applications for a mid-year place from maybe January or after Easter, and in the mean time child care while I am at work will be much simpler.

Any thoughts? Good idea? Bad idea?

Money will be quite tight but we would rather choose the right thing than money being the only factor.

Also - for anyone else married to a non EU national. Have you seen all the visa changes? Only came across them today. More things to think about!

You can only survive in the UK at the moment if you have webbed feet and are prepared to get moss growing in your dark places!

I can't answer any of the above but just wanted you to take the weather into consideration.

Good luck Dr. Smile

Are you coming back from the EU or farther afield?

DoctorGilbertson · 17/07/2012 00:46

Yup - from further afield

Visa is expensive but the financial requirements are now completely through the roof. Good luck
