Anyone local to us now we've moved? In Gib for 2 years with work and wondered if there was anyone local for advice and top tips?

Indith · 10/07/2012 16:33

I do know one, don't think she comes on here much these days, I'll give her a yell on FB if you like :)

Amapoleon · 10/07/2012 17:08

Cherry lip - we have already ventured forth into Spain a couple of times as food shopping is so much cheaper
I am on FB and have joined a lot of the local buy and sell pages to pick up some bits we couldn't bring with us
I work and DH is SAHD and we have 2 DC
DD 6 nearly 7
DS 19 months
Would be nice to have some local contacts for advice, help with my Spanish and any top tips like how to stop the bastard mosies biting me Sad
DH off to buy a plug in now to try and help

Haaha those pesky mozzies. Plug ins are really the only thing that work. I also use an Avon product called so soft, not designed as an anti mozzie spray but it's the best thing I have found. I can put you in touch with the avon lady, ding dong! Hahaha. If you would like, pm me your name and i'll add you on facebook and I can suggest a few useful pages. If you would rather not, let me know and i'll send you some links.

MrsSnaplegs · 11/07/2012 07:47

Amapolean have pm'd you but would appreciate a pm with Avon contact - I have heard the tip about so soft but ha forgotten it - will try anything as the mosie plugs DH bought have European connections and we have uk plug here Sad

Cosmopoliton in Irish town sell cheap adaptors or you could do it the local way and stick a pen lid in the top hole of the socket and ram the 2 pin plug in. I'mm quite good at it now hahaha

MrsSnaplegs · 11/07/2012 20:14

Ama thanks for the tip on location of Cosmopolitan we need to go there for school uniform Grin
