Any mums that have given birth privately in Spain?

I'm due in early september with DS2, I've got private healthcare and it's been fab so far but I have some questions if anyone can help?

I'm not sure if I'm physically able to breastfeed due to surgery, is formula provided by the hospitals here or do I need to bring my own?

I have been looking into hiring a doula, how was your birth? I'm particularly worried about the level of "assistance" I've heard about. Episiotomies, epidurals as standard, forceps/ventouse assisted births...

Any info would be greatly appreciated :)

where in Spain are you? I'm in Andalucia and have had 2 births on seg soc, both fine and not overly assisted, 2nd no assistance at all (no epi, ventouse, forceps), 1st baby got stuck so ventouse was used.
Seeing as you have to take nappies and wipes etc to a private hospital, I'd imagine you'd need to take formula too, although don't know if it varies from hospital to hospital.

I'm in Palma, it's good to hear a story like yours! Of my friends who have given birth here one had ventouse and the others had epidurals which I don't want.

I'll look into getting some of those pre made cartons to take then, thanks :)
