Inventory for removal company...

AHHHH! Posted here because I reckoned you lot have had to do this more than most....

We are shortly moving back from France to UK and I have to do the inventory for removal company insurance. Where to start?! Big things are easy but I'm most stuck with children's toys, there's mountains of it. How did you do it? Do I really have to list cuddly animals: 10 large - value £15 each, 10 medium - value £8 each etc.

How accurate were you with value of things or did you use wild guess-timates?

Many thanks!

having moving to uk - spain, spain-uk. uk -oz and then oz - uk, before anything anything have a massive spring clean!!!! get rid of stuff you have been holding on to as will cost you and end up throwing after about a year.
We were only accurate with electrical stuff, bikes and furniture .
toys were just guesses as likelihood of losing them from France etc pretty slim.
I would take pics of any furniture etc in case of claim.

Could you take photos of groups of toys etc?
I wouldn't know where to start valuing DDs cuddly toy collection. To me it is pennies, to her it is priceless.
Fortunately we have never had anything go astray despite four international moves.
Final one will be coming back to the UK in August. Fingers crossed our luck holds.
