2 years on, finally got a place for DS at our favorite school!!

Those in HK will understand the joy!!! good luck to all of you who are going through this emotional roller coaster!

This also means am giving up 2 places on top of the waiting list in 2 other schools!

Congratulations! We are currently embarking on finding a place for DS 4 who to add extra complications needs a learning support place. I'm ready for the battle! Can I ask what school your dcs will be going to?

God I hate the schooling system in HK!

Yay!! I've got all that to come, but at least DS has a pre-school place for September so I'm over the first hurdle.

That's fantastic news!! Remember the feeling of elation myself!

For all those without school places don't despair. We are probably ( but not definitely) moving in the region this summer but have not given our notice at school. This situation is happening a lot at the moment. You could get a call during the holidays, you never know!!!

The formal letter arrived, relief!

Am not naming names but am opening a place in y4 in his current school and giving up the top spot on the waitlist for another english/IB coveted school.

Yes, hang in there, things will be fast moving in the next few weeks.
There is already a lot of movement mainly for the french school and hkis.
I personnaly know at least 3 sets of sibblings leving each school in K- grade 4 year groups which are always the most coveted.
