Hi everyone,
Anyone got any great Paris restaurant recommendations for a group of 10 mid-30's ladies escaping for the weekend? Central, a bit glam and fun/funky but not too pricey, and nothing pretentious/rude......Any ideas?
Many thanks!

Which area, roughly, and what is your budget? Do you want traditional French food, something a bit different - the new "bistronomy" places for example?

Just pretty central - we are staying in the Marais (3rd) but anywhere central would be fine. Pretty relaxed about style of good - just good quality, about £50 a head, great atmosphere, friendly and fun.

You might have a look at La Fontaine de Mars in the 7th.

I am racking my brains now. Grin Most of the places I eat tend to be a bit staid (work lunches) and expensive or very local to me.

Roger le Grenouille (Roger the Frog)? That's not an instruction, it's the name of the restaurant! A bit touristy, frogs' legs not compulsory, can be fun with a group.

Bistro Melrose is nice, but a bit out of the way for you (at Place de Clichy).

I find the Marais overpriced and touristy on the whole, but you should have a falafel there for lunch.

You might try Chartier for a fun experience, and good basic food, dirt cheap.

I am going to Spring tonight in a group of eight women. Will report in the morning!

Don't go to Spring! I was very disappointed - didn't like the food, or the service, or the décor and it's terrible noisy.
