Hi everyone,

I flew in at 5am this morning. I've secured school places (at Stamford American) as planned. And a condo which wasn't planned! I looked at 3 schools and am also down at UWC as the application fee is so small. I decided against Canadian. I looked at around 10 condos and also explored the general area out to the East. I looked at gazillions online. I knew as soon as I stepped into ours that I could make it into a cosy family home. It's has a patio that goes all the way around so all the rooms (except kitchen and bathroom) have patio doors opening onto a little bit of outside space. Okay so it's not our third of an acre here, but I think it's a good introduction to condo living! So, we have that from 1st July!! It's also a 2.5 minute walk from our friends.

I found it hard to come back in that I was trying to adjust to living there and now I'm back here and I have so much to do (and sell!). It's lovely to be back with DH and the boys though.

My friends who live in Singapore were amazing and I can't imagine the last 5 days without them.

It would be great to meet up with some people once we're there...

Thanks,
K

it sounds as if you have been enormously busy - and successful in sorting things out. Hope it goes well for you.

Wow well done! So is the condo in the east too? Sounds great.

Always happy to meet.

Very inspiring to read your post because my DH just accepted a job in Singapore on Thursday and we are relocating - he's going ahead in August to start work and I'll following with my DDs (5 & 3) in October after half term. Scared and excited all at the same time! Sounds like you got so much done in the short time you were there, which gives me hope Smile

Any help and advice would be much appreciated in the coming months! What websites did you look at for condos? My DH thinks the East will work best for his commute and we will get more for our money condo-wise. I don't want my DD to have a long commute to school so want to choose the area before we think about schools. Was that a consideration for you?

Good luck with all the sorting and organising....I keep looking around my house/garden and wondering what to do with everything!!!!

X

That'll sounds really positive, well done. We lived on the East Coast and loved it. Good luck with your move!
