I have more silly questions.

  1. what's the availability of contraceptives like? I went to the nurse today and tried to come up with a solution and we failed because we didn't know what would happen if I had any problems with a new form (having been pregnant, BF and/or living apart for the last five years we've not been in great need).

  2. while we're on the over personal questions... Anybody know if it's possible for DH to have a vasectomy while over there?

  3. this is the really stupid question. While googling for advice on the above matter I came across a discussion where somebody said that even if you were married now, if your children were born before you were married the sponsorship could be an issue. Erm, if this is true then DH needs to start job hunting again. It just wasn't something I'd even considered Blush

I think I'm going to have to name change after all these ridiculous questions

  1. Depends what you mean about 'availablity'. Most forms are available but maybe not the exact type you're used to. The pill is available over the counter. The morning after pill is not available.
  2. Yes. Your health insurance almost certainly won't cover it though. The state hospital does this for minimal cost. I don't know anyone who's had it done (or admits to it) though (DH is moving very slowly on sorting this one out!)
  3. Ask the employer. I know DH has someone start working with him in this situation and they don't seem to anticipate a problem but visas not through yet.
