My son has been invited for an assessment at DESS and we would really really like him to pass and attend DESS, can anyone help me and tell me what the assessment entails as he has been invited to attend for a whole morning! Your help is invaluable to us!

Thank you so much for all your help!

Shuz - this is going to depend a lot on how old he is. I can't actually help but I strongly suggest you contact Doha mums www.dohamums.com/contactus.html and say you're a prospective member and ask for help (or ask on the forum if you're already a member).

Also, ask on the Qatar board of Expat Woman. Lots of helpful people there.

When is the assessment? If you don't get an answer I can try posting the question for you on Doha Mums.

Your message has been posted to Doha Mums. Have just seen it there.

Even the nursery entry requires your child to recite word perfect GOD SAVE THE QUEEN , draw and colour an accurate Union Flag and be able to write and correctly label the capital cities of England , Wales , Northern Ireland and Scotland on a map of Blighty .
It's a very British School .
If there's any doubt to your child's heritage the headmaster slices the child with a sword and collects blood in a silver chaliss to be DNA tested .

Seriously ,
it's a good school and knows what it's doing .The entrance test isn't anything to worry about . They are only going to ask and give age appropriate questions or tasks.

My children are at DESS and they occasionally have new children in the classroom having a taster session. If your son has been asked to come for the morning it sounds like he will spend some time in a class.
