We are shortly moving to hong kong island for 3 months and my baby son will have just had his 8 week immunisations. Obviously i will be abroad for when hes due his follow-up jabs. Can anyone recomend a doctor who follows the british immunisation schedule??
Many thanks

Hi there

Firstly, you don't necessarily want them to follow the British schedule because HK children are susceptible to other diseases that you need protection from- eg TB is given at birth here because it's a very real risk, so you might want to get that arranged, especially if there's a chance of an extension on your stay.

Bring the schedule with you though, and a good paediatrician can discuss it with you vs the HK schedule and you can decide between you how to work it out. It would still be up to you, so if you just wanted to just do your ones, that would be fine, esp as you're not staying long.

I'm not sure what sort of visa you're both coming on, so assuming you're not getting an ID card, you'll have to go private. I would go to see Dr Angela Lau at Central Health Clinic.
