Kindle/electronic books

Can you get these that are back lit? I know we can do iBooks on my pad, but considering reader for child's birthday.

Hi there, you'd probably be better off on the e-reader thread (up in Books I think), but no, Kindles aren't back lit, hence you can read them in bright sunshine. Think about the cost of the books too, if it's for a child, as they're quite pricey..
