hi,
We live in Asia at the moment, but we're looking at where we'd buy our permanent home.
The British school in Phuket looks very good, but does anyone have any experiences of living / educating there etc.

Is it safe?!
Many thanks

Phuket is very safe. Be aware though, you can't own the land your house is built on. You can own flats, but not houses. You'd need a Thai person to do that for you.

And you need a substantial cash deposit.

Bali has a big established european expat community and a good british school too.

Would you / do you bring up a young family there and call it home? Thank you!

I would definitely do a couple of years, not sure I could do more.
Too small.
I got Island fever in Singapore and find Hong Kong shrinking around me after one year. Not sure I could stomach such a closed expat community.

I know what you mean... Love being an expat but less keen on the expat crowd...

Chiang Mai has a substantial expat community and a very good school. The Prem centre.
