Fed up of always being the foreigner!

This is a moan really, I know there are worse things in the world. My family and i live and work between two bordering countries. I've just about had enough of being the foreigner in both. The other thing is that these countries generally dislike each other, so I have to be so careful of saying anything that will offend either country. When I tell people in one place about the other there is general disdain and vice versa. This is not always case and not everybody feels so strongly but i've had a couple of incidents in the last few days which has just made me realise how fed up I am of it. That's it rant over Grin

I have lived/worked in switzerland and germany, and travelled daily between the two. I was not all intergrated with the locals, and just tended to drive to work then back home again. I don't think anybody likes anybody anymore!

Hahaha! I think that's true.

I lived in France for a while and know how you must feel. I did find it hard to integrate but I also found it very exciting. I was there for just under 2 years and sometimes got lonely but most of the time thought of it as a great adventure.

I've been here 8 years now and am fed up. I have local friends in both countries who i get along with well, just fed up really hahaha
