My DH is moving to NY in Jan '12 with work, and we (DC1 - 4yrs, and DC2 - 3yrs) will be following him, probably in Feb.
I'm very excited about this, but also hoping to get some suggestions from someone currently living there/familiar with NYC as to what I can do with my two kids all day.
I'm particularly worried about the first month or so when I believe it's freezing, and we're going to be in a two-bed flat in the city, rather than a 4 bed house full of brightly coloured, plastic tat toys with a garden, so I'll need to take the kids out to wear them out, but won't know where to go.
Is anyone willing to take on the role of advisor, and give me some pointers?
Oh, I should say we won't be looking for schools at the moment as we will probably only be out there for 4 months.
