Help please Australian Mumsnetters!

Hi, its just a quick one. We want to get a present for my FIL who lives in Australia. We thought he might like a box set of 'The Killing', as he loves murder mystery type TV.

I know it was on the TV in Australia last year due to some googling, but was it 'big', you know on prime time TV? He lives in WA if that makes any difference to the TV schedules.

Obviously we could just ask him! We thought a surprise might be nice.

It was on recently on UKTV if he has Foxtel / Austar... not sure if that helps you though ....

Lots of Uk DVD'S will not work in Australia, different regions.

Thanks for the advice, I think we will go for it. We are getting it from Mighty Ape so straight to Oz and should be the right region.

interesting - we have had no probs with UK dvds here in Aus THe killing was on foxtel - so if he has paytv it would have been on then.

I think it was also on SBS, I totally missed it but saw an SBS labelled DVD of it in Dymocks the other day.

I should add FingandJeffing, that SBS is on mainstream terrestrial tv, but is a "minority" channel so not one of the big commercial stations.
