Shanghai Expats 你们好！

I've come across a few Shanghai-based folk on here, so I thought I'd start a thread for us (sorry if there's one already - I checked and couldn't find one).

I've been here for just over 3 years, working as a journalist and writer. I live downtown in Jing'an District and love it so far.

Woops, I'm guessing you can't write Chinese characters in thread titles...

Ni hao ma? I am over in Pudong, work full time and have 4 kids. Have been here for a year and a half, fairly settled, kids are at last happy. DH would never go back to England, I miss driving and fast Internet the most, sometimes love it, sometimes hate it here..will be here in Shanghai for Christmas..too expensive for all 6 of us to fly "home" or go on holiday, so will just have a lovely English Christmas, while life around us continues as normal, everyone oblivious to our special day.

你们好！ The characters do work in text BTW, just not in thread titles.
