Morning all :)

It's a beautiful sunny day here in Western Australia. I'm looking at the pink and grey gallahs sitting in the garden and the white butterflies fluttering around the spring flowers in my MILs garden. It's lovely and I'm dreading going back to Beijing where the pollution index, right now, is 301 which means children shouldn't leave the house. Hmm can someone remind me why I'm going back again?

Anyway, where are you, how's the weather and what are you doing today?

West coast of Canada here. It's been cool, foggy and rainy most of the day. We had an early autumn after an uninspiring summer, but the trees are making up for it.

Morning from the suburbs of New Jersey, USA - DS (15 months) is teething and DH did a lot of the night shift so is catching up on kip now, while DS and I munch croissants and the dog hovers, ever-hopeful. It's 7.45 and we've been up for about an hour, and I'm on my second cup of tea. (Just noticed this is the last box of Clipper tea, CRISIS! But I think it will last till Mum comes out from the UK in a couple of months.)

It's overcast here and 8C, getting up to about 16c in the middle of the day - Autumn is finally here and the trees are absolutely gorgeous. Often I get homesick for the UK but I don't miss the clouds. Even when it's bloody freezing here it's (normally) bright and sunny cold, which is so cheering and pretty.

Mmn. More tea.

I have a friend who lives in KY, fishpants . In Murray, I think. Is that close to you? :)

The whole school thing is interesting to me...we have craziness here too, in bigger cities. But here in the smaller towns you just send your kid to the school in your town (there's usually only one) or home school them. Charter schools are popping up a lot, though.

Fearful It's not super close but lots of kids go there for university from this area! I know several people who live there. Small world Smile

Oh funny! My friend teaches at the university so that would make sense. :) He's lovely; doing a lot for the GLBT cause there.

It's late Autumn here in Scotland. I love Autumn, the smell, the leaves changing, frosts. However after the last two Winters/rubbish Summers I'm trying very hard not to think about the fact it is now late Spring at home in NZ, soon to be Summer and warm/hot again.

Another one in South Africa. I'm in Johannesburg. It's been a very hot week, reaching about 37degrees but has cooled down this weekend which is nice. I think it's actually raining now which is not the best timing as DD has friends over for a sleepover and our storms are rather spectacular and noisy!
