Where to buy children's clothes in the UK?

I thought I'd ask this here because I think people can probably relate better! I live in Belgium, where everything is expensive, but will be visiting the UK in a few weeks. I want to stock up on kids clothes whilst I'm there but won't have much time to shop around. It's been 11 years since I lived in the UK (and I have never lived there with kids) so I've lost touch with the best places to shop.

So, can you please tell me which are the must-shop-at places in the UK for kids clothes? Thanks!

We are in the US and when visiting family in the UK I take time to visit car boot sales. I spent GBP20 and got DD a whole new wardrobe of clothes. gap, next and Oshkosh are def the best but track, sainsburys and asda have great stuff too. M&S is very good for boys trousers IMO.

Another mumsnetter tipped me off about Dunnes in Ireland. I had a bunch of stuff shipped over and it is fab. The prices are great too.

Gap are in most of the outlet centres. Love their jeans, great denim, fun tshirts ( nothing with huge GAP lettering though - naff). Clarks outlet shops for half price shoes, black school shoes especially. M&S school uniform lasts forever, stainguard trousers. John Lewis own make kids clothes are reasonably priced. Sainsburys is best of supermarkets for basics like underwear, pjs.

M&S ship free to the US, don't know if they do this to Europe. We need school uniform which is hard to get here so was delighted by this.
