Is there a Mumsnet equivalent in the USA?

It seems we are moving to CA and I was just wondering if a website such as this one exists over there.

There are lots of American sites, but why do you need to change?
I've lived abroad for 12 years, but I've never used any site other than Mumsnet!

You won't find a site as 'direct' as Mumsnet.

If you want to make local contacts, there are many sites.

I'm plan on staying on Mnet, of course!! But there are so many useful advice on here about local things. I suppose I'll look it up once I'm there, but still.

There is DC Urban Moms - but its very Washington DC / Maryland / Virginia based.

THere is an LA moms site - I am off to try and find it.

urbanbaby.com has local boards and can be extremely direct - esp. the NYC board.

There are local expat /Brits in (insert state or. City). Facebook pages. They’ll probs be your best bet.

Two Fat Expats on Facebook book would be another page I’d recommend.

Definitely check out DC Urban Moms. While it’s DC focused there is tons of general info on there and people post from all over the US. Good luck with your move!
