Brussels - how to get back to the UK this weekend cheaply?

DH driving back with the kids tomorrow - I can't tag along as I have a meeting on Friday but want to join them. Tickets on the Eurostar now ridiculously expensive. Is there a cheaper way of getting back to London? Any websites where I could buy unwanted Eurostar tickets?
Thanks!

BA flights into LHR or Brussels Airlines aren't so bad. There is anothe airport at Charleroi which Ryanair fly out of.....

coach?

Eurolines are ridiculously cheap - you can travel overnight.

Porto, if you haven't booked anything yet, we're going over to Reading in the car to pick ds2 up. You could have a lift with us. I've tried skyping you and ringing your mobile but no luck :( . Sorry I didn't see this earlier.

Not me - but Charltonchick!

Longtime · 31/03/2011 20:21

Ooops, sorry Porto. Charltonchick, phone me!

Longime I left a message on your answerphone - thanks so much for the offer but need to get back for something tonight or it's not worth it. Porto - Eurolines are really cheap so worth remembering for next time (they don't have a coach that goes this afternoon though). Think I'll have to stay here and endulge in some retail therapy instead :-)

We're probably lighting the BBQ tomorrow afternoon as is it meant to be 23 degrees and sunny. That is hotter than the South of France at the mo. You'd be very welcome in the unlikely event that you are bored and lonely.

Thanks Cc, I got it. I can't believe we're going to spend the day driving and it's going to be 23° here!
