Car seat law in Spain

Can any Spanish MNers help me please? We'll be going on holiday to Spain this summer with DS who will be 9 months old. We will be driven from airport to apartment either by taxi (via motorway) or by a friend of my parents who has a car in Spain. Journey of approx 1 hour.

I know the law says we need a car seat in a private car - does this also apply in taxis? If so, how easy is it to book a taxi with a car seat? Airport is Alicante if that makes a difference. Thank you!

Taxis don't have the legal obligation.. Yet.. But I have had taxi drivers refuse to take me. does your baby still fit in group 0 seat? Not to heavy for you to take with you and handy..

who are you flying with? if you've got one of those car seats that's also part of a pram you can take the whole thing on the plane at no extra cost even on sleasyjet
