Hope you all got to work and/or school this morning! I spent an hour on an absolutely heaving De Lijn bus, but made it work eventually. Chaos on the roads this.....Brew

I found out about this when we turned up at the metro this morning to find four or five burly stib employees blocking the way! It's only a 20 minute walk from home to school but it did mean we were late. Fortunately the teacher hadn't got there yet either! The roads were indeed heaving!

Have to cancel my lunch date with a friend I haven't seen for ages though :(

That's a shame! Apparently they are going to be off all day. I think I will leave early tonight...Hangover has dissipated fortunately, though I did have a little snooze in our team meeting this morning.

Aaah I cycled to work, 10 minutes into the cycle ride, our eldest phoned to say there was a strike and he was following behind me on his bike to get to school. If I had tried to take the tram, I would have got the day off work and would have been paid for it too!!! Next time I'll say I can't make it and spend the day at home.

My husband caught his STIB bus at 5am and got to work before the strike was called ...... ended up taking the train part way home as far as Schuman station then walked, just in time to collect our littlees from school.
