Sion Switzerland

I am interested in finding out if anyone knows anyone living near Sion or Nendaz in Switzerland

Mmelindt?? is probably one of the nearest somewhere in the Geneva area.

Sion is itself not particularly picturesque (by Swiss standards), a bit industrial, but the mountains are not far. Capital of Valais, best canton in Switzerland!!!! Yes I'm a bit biased, have great friends who live there and loads of skiing in the area.

Hi, just noticed this. We are a good bit away from Sion, and I have only visited the area once, briefly. We stayed overnight in Brig last year before driving through the Simplon Pass to Italy. It is a beautiful area, but I don't know much about Sion itself.

Was there anything in particular you wanted to know?

I used to live in Sion when I studied there.

I was born in Valais but closer to Lac Leman.

Sion is a nice town but I cannot say people are very warm and welcoming, it takes a bit of time to feel "at home" there.

Charming in the summer , Valere et Tourbillion (the castles on the hills are beautiful at night). I only went to Nendaz for holiday camps in the summer and have nice memories of them.
