Any Mumsnetters in Victoria B.C?

Just moved to this beautiful place with DH & DS (He's nearly 4). Really missing home all my family & friends. I've tried going to local parent & kids groups but not really got past the general chit chat stage with anyone. Without sounding sad I could really use some mummy friends.

I am not currently there but it is my 'home'. I would be happy to try and help... My dsil is there and has a 4 year old dd. Maybe she can make some recommendations.

I am glad that you are finding it beautiful but I do understand that it can be a difficult place to make friends. It is only natural to be missing family and friends at this stage. I hope that you find your feet quickly.

You are certainly doing the right thing by trying the parent and kids groups. Have you seen the publications put out by the various recreation centres?
